Precis of Subject:

When being creative it's always important to understand the fundamentals. Understanding these very basic elements can reap dividends from the very beginning. How we protect their integrity throughout the entire system is extremely important. We'll look at the relationship between our environment, our system and ourselves, and by just changing the way we think about all of these can help us get the maximum potential out of it. We'll look at how our own understanding of sound can evolve, or at least help us raise questions that may otherwise pass us by.

Video for Audio Engineers - presented by ISCE / Ikon AVS

Precis of Subject:

Incorporating video into a system can be a good additional source of revenue for audio professionals. It may be simply adding a projector to a theatre or digital signage to augment a VA system. But, with multiple analogue video formats and a transition to an equally confusing array of incompatible digital formats, what connects together and works, how do you convert between the formats and how do you cable and connect? When is it worth converting the signals to Cat5?This updated version of the seminar previously given at ISCEX2011 not only covers the basics of video with emphasis on the new digital formats, but also how to interface these and how to incorporate legacy products into systems.

This may be sooner than we think or even like. The current use of mixed technologies, or layers of light will not necessarily be the future. What impact will there be for dimming, control, power consumption and most importantly, artistic expression for emotion in theatre and entertainment environments.
