Mark Ager is Group CEO for Stage Technologies, one of the world’s leading theatre automation companies now part of the Tait group. He co-founded the company in 1993 and has led the company since its inception.
He has worked on many diverse projects that the company has delivered from West End shows to cruise ships, opera houses and theatres and has been at the forefront of the company’s technology development including the original software development for the Acrobat Control desk, 3D path following software, and free range roving trucks. He is currently working on merging the technologies of Tait and Stage Technologies into a unified whole.
He has a Physics MA from Oxford University, an MSc in Robotics and Industrial Automation from Imperial College, London, and is a Fellow of the institute of Electrical Technology (FIET)
Peter ’The Greek’ Kalopsidiotis did his first tour in 1978 when technicians were known as roadies.
He started to concentrate on rigging in about 1983. For 25 years work took PTG all over the world with many major acts. From a life of rock and roll touring, projects have been as diverse as rigging on tall ships, for theatre and film, crane work, art installations and even getting heavy furniture into top floor dwellings. PTG Productions was formed in 2004 to concentrate on a select handful of London Venues including some of the larger festivals. Peter was involved from the start
of the National Rigging Certificate and is currently an assessor for the scheme. He also provides training and is a member of the National Rigging Advisory Group.
