The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games is on track to be the first major sporting event to leave a carbon neutral legacy. With 26 venues, including greenfield sites and an electric vehicle charging depot, how did the Organising Committee (OC) manage the temporary power systems against this zero carbon backdrop?
In this session James Eade, Head of Energy for the OC, explains how his team approached the challenge and highlights the innovations, pitfalls and progress they made.
