The 1980s/1990s heralded the rise of the 'mega musical' with audacious engineering enabling the spectacular shows which defined the genre, making the West End the epicentre of a revolution in live entertainment.

For automation of giant sets, flying cars and helicopters, one man was the goto hydraulics genius that enabled this era. We will be interviewing octogenarian Paul Sadler about his role in the genesis of an industry.

Paul's credits include Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, the original Starlight Express, Time, Chess and many more.
