Anne worked in the professional entertainment production industry from the time of obtaining her MFA in technical theatre from the University of Wyoming.  After a brief three years as a technical director, her interest in the design and construction of theatrical venues lead to a long career in the supply side of our industry.

She has acted as a product manager, director of R+D, vice president of marketing and freelance marketing consultant and production manager.

Anne specialised in the development of lighting control systems, including Light Palette 90 (for Strand, 1990), Obsession (for ETC, 1992), Virtuoso (for Vari-Lite, 1997), and the Eos family of products (for ETC). She retired from ETC in October 2020.

The products and software development led by Anne have won numerous industry awards, including an EMMY (Virtuoso) and Anne was the recipient of the Gottelier Award in 2016, the USITT Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017 and named an International Fellow of the ALPD in 2021.

In her dotage, she has directed her energy toward political activism.
