Jack is responsible for the overall leadership of the Lighting Department, overseeing the planning, co-ordination and delivery of lighting across the organisation’s opera and ballet repertoire.

His remit includes departmental resources, staffing, technical standards and health and safety as well as working closely with creative, production and technical teams across the organisation.

Jack is also part of the RBO’s transition to LED lighting technology, a major programme of technical modernisation focused on improving sustainability, energy efficiency and production capability while maintaining the exceptional standards required for world-class opera and ballet.
