
Mike Wood
Mike is a US-based theatre practitioner working throughout the world. While the bulk of his work has been in live theatre, he has experience in all areas of live production and is always seeking out new and challenging opportunities to work with collaborators.
He has been honoured with many nominations and awards for his work in several cities throughout the US. Recent major projects include Dungeons & Dragons The Twenty Sided Tavern, (Sydney Opera House, Off-Broadway, North American Tour) Rogers the Musical (Marvel Studios), and The Hot Wing King with writer/director Katori Hall at the Alliance Theatre.
An accomplished educator, Mike is currently teaching design classes as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Kennesaw State University, and has previously served on the faculties of Marymount Manhattan College, The Collegiate School, Hillsborough Community College, and Howard W. Blake School of the Arts.
He strongly believes in the power of education and works to share his work with students throughout the world through social media and his apprenticeship programme.
He holds a BA in Theatre Design from the University of South Florida as well as an MFA in Theatre Design & Technology from the University of Memphis, both with concentrations in Lighting Design.
