Roger started in theatre and then moved into film. His award-winning work in many different genres has been seen on stage and screens across the world, not only as a lighting designer and cinematographer but also as a writer and director.

Although born in the Netherlands, he started his career in the UK and now resides in France. He has worked in 30 different countries and is a graduate, and now fellow, of the Rose Bruford college as well as a Knight of Illumination.
