Simon is a co-director of Harper Tackley Consultants along with Rachel Tackley MBE. Harper Tackley provide advice and support to arts organisations wishing to undertake capital projects or organizational change.

Simon is a theatre professional with over 45 years’ experience in the industry. He has a background in technical theatre and as a Production Manager and Technical Director he has produced shows in the UK, USA and Europe for various companies including the Almeida Theatre and English National Opera.

Since 1995 as a Client Representative and Project Director Simon has been involved in some of the UK’s most successful theatre capital projects including the redevelopment of the Royal Court Theatre in London’s Sloane Square, the Coliseum in London’s St Martins Lane, the Royal Shakespeare Company’s transformation of its Stratford Theatres and the National Theatres NT Future Programme.

Harper Tackley Consultants were formed in 2012 and since then have supported or led projects for organisations such as West Kowloon Cultural District, the RSC, Delfont Macintosh Theatres, Pitlochry Festival Theatre, The Arts Theatre Cambridge, The Glasshouse Gateshead, Trafalgar Entertainment Group and ATG amongst others.
