In 1973, Steve transformed from an aspiring marine biologist to roadie with the band String Driven Thing. He was nineteen, the road was seductive. Fifteen years travelling the world featured some stellar milestones and not a few ugly mishaps along the way. Mid 1987, Steve decided that his recent marriage was more important than music and quit. He didn’t know it then, but a long held desire to earn a crust as a writer soon bore fruit. He now resides in the foothills of the Cheviots, a range whose rugged slopes have trimmed his portly silhouette and fended off the heart-attack of sloth. He continues to write to this day.
